My name is Randy Blum and I own Randy’s Lawn Service. Since 1983 I’ve been dedicated to keeping lawns like yours deep green and weed and insect free, and quite frankly I really enjoy my work. As a mater of fact my wife is always amazed at how happy I am when I leave for work in the morning.

It wasn’t always like that though.

Before I started taking care of lawns (many years ago) I worked for my Dad’s furniture and appliance store. For any of you long time residents it was called Blunt’s Furniture located in New Egypt.  It was a family owned store. I was inside the store and the warehouses all day and I really hated my job.  (How does that old Dire Straits song go--- “We gotta install microwave ovens”....) I was miserable.  So I went to talk with my dad to explain my dilemma, expecting he would be mad at me.  To my amazement he wasn’t mad at all.  He told me that he had always hated the furniture and appliance business, and if I was unhappy I should do something different.

From there I started a summer job working with a good friend of mine.  We took care of lawns and trees.  After about two weeks I said “Hey, this is for me!”  I loved being outside, and I loved the satisfaction of pulling up to one of the lawns I was taking care of and having it look terrific. Two years later I started my own lawn service and I’ve been enjoying my work ever since. So that’s my story.

Hopefully you’ll let me share my passion for lawns with you by giving me a chance to work on your lawn.

Thanks,
Randy
